Monthly update for June.
Wow! Halfway through the year already…
Time flies when you are having fun!
In the Guys group sessions this month I went to Greerton Library to read some football books(I think I have been influenced by the Football world cup this month.).
I also went to Selwyn park to play tennis and I went to Tenpin Tauranga to try out their arcade games. I enjoyed playing the basketball arcade game there.
In music this month I have been trying different dance genres (Rock, Hip hop and waltz ballroom). I practiced waltz ballroom because I got a winter ball coming up! I have been using AI with my friends.
It is interesting to see what music AI can create!
I have made some delicious food with my friends and staff this month. I made Chickpea vege curry, Pasta sauce and blueberry muffins.
What outings have I been on this month… Well, I went for a walk at Waikareo walkway and I wandered around Toiohomai(Windermere campus). This is where adults can study to prepare themselves for a job. It was interesting to see what you could do there!
When it was raining I stayed at the centre and had a costume dance party.
I loved listening to Scottish and Kiwi music! In the Floristry session I delivered Posies to Waipuna hospice. In my Music/dance session I had a Disco party, practiced ballroom dancing and listened to country music(yee-haw!!).
This month has also been the Start of the Football World Cup in USA/Mexico/Canada. At the Centre my friends and I drew countries out of a hat. We will see which country does the best. I got the country Iraq. They are not the best footballing nation but hopefully they will overperform!
Half way through the year already. I hope the next six months will be just as awesome as the first!

Great to hear what you have been up to James, that’s a lovely update with a lot of activities. I have been down to see you a couple of times and we went to the hospice to see where you worked and you help me to choose my shirt. Great work. Good to hear you have lots of activities going on and keep up the music in the sports and everything else
